The Assembly Hall Theatre and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council want to ensure your visit is as safe as possible.
We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre's 'See It Safely' mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to help ensure the safety of our staff, workers and audiences.
Please read below the measures we are taking carefully.
All visitors’ to the theatre are asked to temperature check and hand sanitise (this includes all performers, staff, casual workers, audience members and contractors).
The building will open 40 minutes prior to an event.
We will not be operating a bar service on site, unless the event has a layout that means you are sitting at a table. You will, however, be able to order drinks and snacks as you book your ticket or you can add items to your ticket booking later by telephone (Mon to Fri, 10am to 5pm).
We will have 22 sanitising stations throughout the building. You will be required to sanitise your hands on arrival.
A regular cleaning schedule of all hard surfaces with long lasting virucidal products, and fogging for other surfaces will be implemented.
All staff, casual workers and visitors, with the exception of performers during a show, will be required, at all times, to wear face coverings (unless sitting in their seat and in the immediate act of eating or drinking). Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth, and must securely fit round the side of the face. Exemptions will only apply if covered by the Government guidelines.
We have reduced the capacity of the venue to 350 ticket holders and the ticketing system will automatically block off seats to the left, right, in front and behind to apply the required social distance.
We will be operating a strict "keep left" system of movement around our building, combined with the requirement to be wearing face coverings at all times.
Clear signage will be placed around the building to help with directions and to remind audiences of our requirements.
We are not operating any in-person Ticket Sales Services so you cannot book in person or collect tickets on arrival.
Tickets will be issued via e-ticket (no charge) or they can be posted in advance (£3.50 charge).
Our teams will be working in predetermined bubbles and those bubbles will be rotated.
If you have any feedback please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org or complete the post-visit survey that you will be sent.
